Vitamin supplements: good or bad?
The question is whether the supply of vitamin supplements is good or bad for our health. Are they a good option when it comes to improving our nutritional needs? Or on the contrary we should avoid using them.
The vitamins are a small group of substances essential for growth and development of our body. Therefore, our need for vitamins is indisputable. In addition, many of them can not be created by our body and, therefore, it needs to come from our diet.
Some people believe that by consuming supplements that need not worry about how they feed. This means a major oversight. Furthermore, many studies have shown that vitamins found in supplements do not react in our body the same way as those that come from food.
The nutritionists and other health experts agree that, except for those who have special treatment, most of us do not need to take supplements. We can cover our needs perfectly nutritious eating a balanced diet. The best way is to increase our consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Moreover, excessive consumption of vitamins can have toxic effects. While our body needs the vitamins than necessary consumption can be counterproductive. In conclusion, we can say that, in principle, Taking supplements is an unnecessary practice for most of us.
