Make sure your diet comprises foods that are rich in Vitamin C, which helps in the promotion of growth of connective tissues. This process helps fight gingivitis and periodontal disease. Oranges, kiwis, mangoes, lemons and papayas are some of the fruits that are rich in Vitamin C.
Vitamin D is also equally important to keep the gums healthy. Foods that are rich in Vitamin D include some species of fatty fish, egg, cod liver oil, mushrooms and yeast.
Teas tree oil is regarded as a natural remedy for making teeth and gums healthy. Furthermore, the consumption of cranberries prevents bacteria and plaque from sticking to the teeth. Regular brushing and using a good mouthwash are other ways of taking care of your teeth and gums.
